Internship and Placements
All about BILS Internship and Placements
Dr. Sameera Simha, Joint Secretary,
BHS Higher Education Society,
addressing the gathering during a special talk on “Intellectual and Personality Development” at BILS.
We have an intake of 60 students each year which makes the class small enough for individual attention, yet large enough for interactive discussions. The academic excellence of the students is evident by the ranks and gold medals secured.
Apart from classroom teaching, we stress on practical exposure through student placements. In pursuance of the same, the Placement Committee has regular internships / placement program.
The academic year is spread out over the course of two semesters each of 6 months duration and between these semesters, there are two vacations of 4 weeks each, during which time, the students are encouraged to join Advocates Chambers / NGO / Government Organizations & Law Firms.
The First and Second-year students are recommended to put in their time and effort in research, publication of articles in law journals or sharpening their skills in Moot Court work for college panels. In fact, internship and maintenance of the internship diary is made mandatory by KSLU, Hubballi.
Placement is next continuous step to the internship program which spells finality to our efforts. This obviously would be for the final year students.
